International Shipping Limited was founded in 1997 by the late Mr. Michael Laughlin and his wife Mrs. Aysha Laughlin, Co-Founder and current Chairperson. From the beginning, their commitment to hands-on leadership and genuine customer care set ISL apart. Over 25 years of consistent growth later, that foundation hasn’t changed.
Today, that legacy lives on through their children, who now lead the organisation with renewed energy and strategic vision.
At the helm is Shivana Marie Laughlin, Group CEO, who brings over 15 years of experience across every facet of the business. Shivana returned to ISL in 2023 with a clear mandate: to drive ISL’s next phase of growth without losing the human touch the company was built on.
Alongside her is Christian Laughlin, Group Director of Legal, Contracts, Compliance and Risk, who has been with ISL since 2007 and has been instrumental in ISL’s expansion into the U.S. market.

In 2024 International Shipping, in partnership with Dumore Enterprises and ITNAC – Is There Not A Cause, sent a container of relief items to Jamaica after the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl.
We rallied our contacts to donate food, baby products and building materials. Items were sent to Jamaica and helped dozens of families in the long recovery process.
